How To Fulfill your Purpose

You were created to dominate life in an area of gifting. That gift was given to you to solve a problem on earth. Your gift is in the area of your purpose. Discovery, development, refinement and serving that gift to the world is the key to fulfilling your purpose. The secret to contentment within your success is in your purpose. In this blog post, I will talk about the second part of the GPS system, Purpose.

The Foundation of Fulfilling your Purpose

The foundation for the fulfillment of your purpose is self-love. If you don’t love yourself, no one else will. And if you can’t see the value within yourself, believe me, no one else will. Self-love is within God and it means to treat yourself the way you would treat anyone else.

The same grace that you give to other people is what you should give to yourself. The highest form of self-love is having boundaries. Knowing what could be a threat to your purpose and choosing against that. After all, you are the only person you will consistently be with for the rest of your life, while other people may come and go. Self-love will set you up for success within your purpose without any compromise.

Fulfillment of your Purpose is Based on:

  1. Discovering your purpose
  2. Having faith in your purpose
  3. Obedience to your purpose

Step 1: Discovering

In order to discover your gift, you need to go to the person who gave you this gift in the first place. Going to God in prayer and asking Him what His purpose for your life is, will be the essence of discovering your purpose.

God may reveal it in various ways. It may be through dreams or visions, or maybe through a spiritual counselor, a friend, a baby, a tree and so on. Moral of the story is that God can use anything to reveal your purpose. Having a personal relationship with God will make you sensitive to the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit will help you discern the will of God concerning your purpose.

Step 2: Having Faith

The next thing you need to do when God has revealed your purpose, is to establish your faith. The enemy will not like it when you have discovered your purpose. Because he knows that God will use your gift for His kingdom. And, that you will prosper and be content within God, while fulfilling your purpose.

So, the devil will do anything in his might to discourage you and make you doubt what God has revealed. You will certainly go through various test and trials. But your foundation should be faith, a weapon in the armor of God. It will protect you against the shooting arrow of doubt coming from the devil. Firm faith will be an essential element.

Step 3: Obedience

When you have discovered your purpose and established your faith, the last step will be obedience. God will give you instruction about your purpose. You may not understand it before doing it, but I assure you that eventually you will.

Most of the time, these instructions won’t be conventional. It may take you tears and struggle to go through obedience. Obedience to your purpose may be the hardest part. Because you will have to put your will aside for the will of God, which is a hard thing for us as humans to do. But if there is anything that I can advice you, is to be obedient anyways. The struggle of obedience to God, will always be better than the struggle of disobedience.
